Water Testing
If the property you are buying is on a well, the mortgage company will require that you obtain a water test for quality. The water is tested for bacteria, arsenic and uranium and must meet the acceptable Provincial guidelines. You should consider having a "Flow Rate" test completed also. This test will
determine the amount of water the well is currently producing & if it will be enough to meet your needs.

Septic Tank Inspections
If the property you are buying has a septic tank/ field it is advisable to have it tested for leaks, low points in the field, etc.

Sewer Line Scope
The sewer line from your house to the main city connection can be damaged from tree roots or general erosion. A camera designed for this test will allow us
to view the length of the line to determine if there are any issues. This test is recorded so if there is an issue it can be sent to Halifax Water for viewing and the seller.
